How Long Does Bouquet Preservation Take?
One of the most common questions we receive is, “How long does bouquet preservation take?”
Preserving a wedding bouquet is a slow, detailed process, and from start to finish, you can typically expect your preservation to take around 3–5 months.
Pressing Your Flowers
The pressing process typically takes around 4–8 weeks.
Certain flowers naturally contain more moisture and require additional time in the press. For example, tropical bouquets and bouquets with thicker, more moisture-rich flowers usually take longer than delicate wildflower bouquets.
We never rush this step because properly drying your flowers is one of the most important parts of creating a piece that will last.
Reconstructing the Flowers
Once your flowers are completely dry, we begin reconstruction.
During pressing, many flowers naturally separate or flatten in a way that changes their original shape. We carefully rebuild them petal by petal, helping each flower resemble the way it looked in your bouquet.
This is one of the most detailed parts of the preservation process.
Color Correction
Next comes color correction.
Flowers naturally lose or change color while drying and pressing, so we carefully color correct each individual flower in your bouquet to restore some of the tones and details that were present when the flowers were fresh.
Our goal is not to make the flowers look artificial, but to bring back the natural beauty that may have faded during preservation.
Designing Your Frame
Once reconstruction and color correction are complete, we move into the design stage.
This is where your bouquet begins to come back together as a finished piece of artwork. We create your design and work with you throughout the process to make sure you truly love the layout before anything is permanently framed.
Framing
After your design is approved, your flowers are carefully secured and framed.
Each piece is assembled by hand, with special attention given to placement, balance, and the little details that make your bouquet unique.
Shipping Your Finished Piece
Once framing is complete, your preservation piece is carefully packaged and prepared for shipping.
From the moment your bouquet arrives to the moment your finished frame is sent back to you, every step is completed with care. Bouquet preservation is a slow, detailed process—but the result is a piece of your wedding day that you can keep for years to come.
